Well thanks to Fannie and Freddie, the real estate industry has another hurdle. It’s called the HVCC-Home Valuation Code of Conduct. As stated by Kenneth R. Harney, “Under the code, appraisers are now routinely assigned by appraisal management companies rather than being selected by local motrgage compaines or loan officers.” (See above link). As a realtor in SW Washington this will be possibly another “fight” for a successful sale and will continue to make the real estate industry interesting once again.
